Who gets a place of honor in the kingdom of God? In James 2:1–13 and 5:1–6, James confronts the sin of favoritism and challenges us to examine the ways we judge people by their wealth, status, appearance, or influence. The kingdom of God doesn't operate by the world's standards. Rather, Jesus calls us to love our neighbor without partiality, to value people for who they are rather than what they have, and to recognize that every person has a place at His table. In God's kingdom, we don't measure people by what they have, we honor them because of the image they bear.
