The Heart of the Father | Come Home | Pastor Seth
In part three of our series, "Come Home", we shift from the two sons to the figure who holds the story together: the Father. Drawing from the profound final chapters of Henri Nouwen’s The Return of the Prodigal Son, we explore the radical, self-giving love that defines God's character.
The Father doesn't just wait; he runs. He doesn't just forgive; he restores. We will look closely at the "two hands" of God’s grace—one that reaches out to welcome the rebellious younger son back from the pigpen, and another that steps out into the darkness to plead with the resentful older son to join the feast.
The ultimate goal of our spiritual journey isn't just to be the guest at the party, but to become the host, ushering those around us into the Kingdom Banquet.
